6:30 AM
Our pups have a busy schedule while they are boarding with us! Starting at 6:30am boarding pups are let outside to potty, before breakfast time and then a little relaxing to let their tummies settle until 7:30am when we get our day camp started!
10:00 AM
Those pups who have requested day camp join in with daycare until about 10 am and everyone comes inside for a nice relaxing nap time and lunch, if your pet requires it. If you’ve opted for no day camp, your pup gets plenty of One-on-One time with our Kennel staff during this time.
12:00 PM
Nap time is a vital part of the daycare experience, as it lets everyone calm down and relax so they aren’t stressed out by going and interacting with others all day long. It’s a great way to keep them happy and healthy!
2:30 PM
At about 2:30pm we let everyone back outside to potty one at a time (this way they don’t get too distracted by playing), and then it’s back to play care or One-on-One time for everyone! Around 4:30pm we bring everyone in for dinner.
6:30 PM
Our daily daycare pups usually go home during this time, and our boarders will go outside between 6:30pm and 7pm for a potty break before they settle in for the night. This means that your pup gets out at least 6 to 7 times a day, along with day camp if you choose to add that on to their stay. It is included in the deluxe boarding.

Have Questions? We're Here to Help.
Many common questions about about our services are answered here.
Here at Southern Pines we offer Overnight Boarding, Daily Daycare, On and Off Leash Training, and even Grooming services such as baths, haircuts, and nail trims!
An evaluation day is required for all new pets coming to Southern Pines Pet Lodge. This is a full day reservation much like our daycare day, where we screen a dog or cat for any aggression towards our staff or extreme kennel anxiety that would make it unsafe for them to board with us. If you are coming from out of town, we will work with you to get a referral from your local boarder to clear your pet.
While it is not required to bring your own, we do always suggest that you bring your own pets food for digestive purposes. Switching your pet’s food quickly can cause a tummy upset. This can lead to vomiting, diarrhea, and other medical problems. Bringing your pets food is the best choice.
We spend a large portion of the day with your pet, so we really get to see and understand how your dog interacts and behaves. We are able to quickly notice changes in your pet’s behavior. If they seem “off”, or don’t feel well, action is taken as quickly as we can. We use TWO NOTCH ROAD ANIMAL CLINIC during open hours, and CVETS after hours. The first thing we will do when we notice an injury or illness is contact you or your emergency contact and see how you would like us to proceed. We then will contact the veterinarian if you wish us to. Should we be unable to contact you or your emergency contact we will care for the pet as our own and get them the care they need. You are solely responsible for any and all veterinary care received by your pet during or after their stay.
We happily take puppies over the age of 16 weeks (4 months) as long as they are up to date on all required vaccines. We love having puppies in to get them socialized and used to new surroundings!
All pets are required to have their Rabies, Canine Influenza, Bordetella and Distemper Vaccines. They also need to be on a flea medication.
It is our goal to have a safe, stress-free environment for every dog who stays with us. We highly suggest bringing your pet in the morning hours to make the transition smoother for all pets involved. The later into your home routine your pet is, the harder it will be for them to adjust to our environment for the day. The pups all have to greet and adjust to new dogs coming in, and the later in the day that happens gives them less time to settle in.
There’s a 3-day minimum for all holiday reservations during our holiday blocks.

My puppy has been going to Southern Pines for about 4 months now, and he LOVES them! Anytime I drop him off he’s so excited to greet everyone and go play with his doggie friends. I never worry when he’s there because I know he is in good hands with the employees. They love on him like he’s their own and I’m so appreciative of the care they give to him.

Can’t recommend enough! Apollo has been going there for a month and loves going in every day for daycare and playing with his friends. He gets lots of playtime, and it makes my day when the staff tells me about all the dogs he played with. He loves the staff and I can see that they genuinely care about the pets in their care. Exceeded my expectations, worth every penny!!!
