Meet Our Staff
A combined 41 years of professional animal care experience.
“I have committed and dedicated my personal and professional life to taking care of other people’s pets.”
My name is Jodie Courter and I have been personally and professionally involved in the pet industry since 1989 as a groomer and transitioning to owning my first pet facility 1991 (K-9 Cuts & Kennels), located in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania. I moved to Baltimore MD in 2002 and opened my first mobile grooming salon (K-9 Design).
I leased Dogwood Kennels beginning in 2003 and purchased the property in 2005. I opened another mobile salon (Bark-n-Style) in 2007 which services the Greater Baltimore and surrounding areas. August 2015 I had the opportunity branch out to a second location in Columbia South Carolina. I enjoy personally showing my St. Bernard’s and Boston Terriers.
I have committed and dedicated my personal and professional life to taking care of other people’s pets. Here I can provide the best environment possible for your pet and the highest quality of service including unique spa-services. We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and confidence.
Manager, Groomer, Trainer
“My goal is helping dogs and owners have the best bond they can have and am working toward not just one but two Dog Handling certificates!”
Hey there! My name is Rini, and I am a professional Dog Care Provider currently working toward becoming a Certified Dog Trainer with two different training organizations. I have worked here at Southern Pines Pet Lodge for 3 years as the manager and groomer, and have recently started to offer training as well. You’ll see me checking in your pets, as well as in the back cleaning, feeding and giving them all the love I can. You may also see me out at Tractor Supply & Pet Supermarket getting your pet treats and toys for their stay, or with one of the Training pups I have in my training programs! I always have a crazy color or two in my hair (Currently Red and Green!). In my free time I enjoy working with horses, doing professional photography and spending time with my own personal pack of 8 pups!
Head Kennel Attendant
“With a little hope and a lot of strength, I believe that nothing is im-paw-sible.”
Hi! My name is Vallie Inabinet and I would consider myself a jack of trades. Curious? Read on mighty solider and partake in the details! I am a senior at the University of South Carolina and I am studying to get my Bachelors in Nursing Science (BSN) and strive to one day have my PhD. or CRNA in nursing. I truly survive my nursing struggle through the home I’ve made in Northeast, Columbia. I work two jobs along with going to school: I am a CSR at Palmetto State Armory (being in the firearms business is neat-o) and a kennel attendant at Southern Pines Pet Lodge. My better half, Bryan, is my rock and my two fur boys are my world. Bryan brings out the passions in me: gun building, dog cuddling, football watching and couch cuddling, I still don’t know how I got so lucky. Stinky is my 75 pound black lab who thinks he is a lap dog while Austin, my 45lb Australian Cattle dog/ Pitt Bull is the goof ball of the gang and thinks he is king. With a little hope and a lot of strength, I believe that nothing is im-paw-sible.
“So far I have only dipped my toe in the world of all things animals, ‘only’ going as far as getting a certificate in veterinary assistance.”
Hello! My name is Anna and I have been working at Southern Pines Pet Lodge since early 2018. I have always been told that I should work with animals, so I took that suggestion and here I am! So far I have only dipped my toe in the world of all things animals, ‘only’ going as far as getting a certificate in veterinary assistance. At home I have two cats and a dog, and have always enjoyed taking care of them. Bathing my dog is a favorite activity of mine. I am excited to see where this could take me.
